I have always maintained that the truly strong women are those who survive to tell their own stories. For too long, women have been hesitant to tell their own stories. They have been too scared to lay bare their mistakes, failures and regrets, even to their children. As a result, ‘the cycle’ remains unbroken.Though this book is like a sequel to my first book, A Bit of Me, written in 2019, it also urges mothers and mother figures to have candid and sometimes sensitive conversations with their ‘children’, both biological and those who look up to them.What an old woman sees, while sitting on her ‘sacred stool’, which represents wisdom, experience, scars of life, survival, and time-tested faith, her child standing on top of the mountain cannot see.Yes, times have changed.
