Reverse Osmosis System 600 GPD - Chile by Pure Aqua, Inc.

A comprehensive system with pre-treatment was supplied to a university in Chile. The system was designed for 600 GPD. Since its initial startup, the machine has been operating with minimal issues. Reverse osmosis technology aids in removing salts and other contaminants from non-potable water sources using a high-pressure pump. This pump is designed to overcome the osmotic pressure of a natural process known as 'osmosis'. Naturally, osmosis transports salt through a semi-porous membrane from a low-saline concentration area to a high-saline concentration area, aiming to equalize the salt concentration on both sides. To reverse this natural process and obtain purified water, reverse osmosis employs a high-pressure pump to direct osmosis in the opposite direction. The pump applies high pressure to the highly concentrated saline side of the membrane, aggressively pushing saltwater and other contaminants through the membrane, allowing only water molecules to pass. The salt and other contaminants are trapped and drained on the concentrate side, while purified water exits and is ready for collection on the permeate side.
